Michele Soncini
Michele Soncini received her M.S. in Criminology from the Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ where she studied the effects of art on the construction of identity of incarcerated juveniles and adults. As an undergraduate, she studied Forensic Anthropology and Fine Arts with a focus in Drawing/Printmaking at Arizona State University and The University of South Carolina. She studied 2D/3D Forensic Facial Reconstruction at the Scottsdale Artists School. To explore and implement color into her prints, Michele attended a Mosaic Workshop at the Perkins Center For The Arts in Collingswood, NJ. It was there that she came to work under the tutelage of Mosaic Artist, Jackie Stack Lagakos. Her artistic images are largely influenced by her experiences in working with inmates, conducting child abuse investigations, and as a crisis worker for children and adults.
