Carmel Arts & Design District Merchants Sponsor “Charity Trees” with Opportunities to Give Back

Carmel, IN – During this holiday season, many merchants in the Carmel Arts & Design District (CA&DD) have “charity trees” present at their stores or businesses.  Participating merchants paired up with a charity of their choice and created ways in which customers and community members can give or donate to their chosen charity.  The charity trees (four-foot, decoratively lit, artificial evergreen trees) are located either outside or inside participating merchant stores and are decorated with tags or other special items outlining the specifics on how to give back to the chosen charity at each location.

“During this time of year, we feel it is important to share with those less fortunate.  The Arts and Design District is pleased that our ‘Charity Tree” drive will help those in need during the holiday season,” said Sherry Mielke, Director of Finance and Operations for the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, Arts & Design District Office.

Various participating merchants have also included additional incentives and gifts for donating, such as chances to win gift certificates and/or discounts on items in stores.

Please see below for a complete list of participating merchants hosting charity trees and their chosen charity or organization.
