New Consignment Shop Opens in Carmel Arts & Design District

Carmel, IN – Amanda’s City-Chic Consignment opens today in the Carmel Arts & Design District at 210 E.  Main Street.  The new shop houses 2,800 square feet of furniture, including model home furniture, estate pieces, vintage items and antiques.  Amanda’s City-Chic Consignment also offers home décor items such as floral arrangements and decorative pillows, jewelry and season gifts.  Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, 12-5 p.m.

Owner Amanda Newman purchased the home, previously occupied by the Old Town Barbershop, to expand her current business, Carmel Consignment, a women’s clothing consignment boutique.

“Carmel is such a great place to live and to have a business,” said Newman.  “I am so excited to be part of the Arts and Design District.  I feel like my store will be a great fit to the mix of merchants in the downtown area.  Our inventory changes daily, so you are sure to find something unique each time you stop in.”

In addition to selling home goods and furnishings, Amanda’s City-Chic Consignment offers consigning opportunities to individuals.  Participants receive 50 percent of the profit when an item sells from the shop.  The consigning program has no set-up or consigner fees and payments are delivered monthly for sold goods.  Participants also have the option to place their item on a charity account, with proceeds from the sold item donated to a specific charity.  Unsold items can also be donated to a charity.
