Carmel Arts & Design District Welcomes
the Deborah DeFazio Lyons Portrait Studio and Gallery

Carmel, IN – Deborah DeFazio Lyons is celebrating the grand opening of her new Carmel art gallery and studio at 43 W. Main Street on Saturday, September 30th.  The event will take place from noon-6 p.m. on Saturday, September 30th and noon-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 1st.
The grand opening celebration marks one of the first gallery openings in the Carmel Arts & Design District.  The opening ceremony will begin with a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 30th.  Mayor Brainard, along with other city officials, will be present.
With the opening of her new Carmel gallery, Deborah Lyons will display many of her portrait paintings as well as showcase some of her larger oil paintings.  Lyons paints people and pets from either live sittings or from photographs.  Her portfolio contains a portrait of a well-known politician, an astronaut, and American soldiers who fought in Iraq.
The gallery will also occasionally exhibit art from other artists.
Deborah Lyons has been painting portraits in oils and pastels for 20 years and has developed a nationwide clientele.  During her career, she has been commissioned to paint more than 2000 portraits.  Many people in the Indianapolis area may recognize her as the portrait artist who had a space at the Castleton Square Mall for the past nine years.

Now that she has opened a studio in the Carmel Arts & Design District, she is able to work at the studio and can be seen painting during business hours.  For more information on the Deborah DeFazio Lyons Studio and Gallery, please visit
