Traffic Signal Donation Enhances Arts & Design District
Carmel, IN – Traffic Signal Company has donated signal improvements to the intersection at Main Street and Range Line Road, the center of Carmel’s Arts and Design District. Recent changes in the area sparked the interest of Traffic Signal Company. Providing this signal to the city is their way of enhancing this section of the district.
Carmel resident, William Doron, Vice President of Traffic Signal Company, wanted to support the City’s economic development initiatives in Old Town Carmel by donating and installing the traffic signal. “The improvements over the last few years in the Old Town area have built a foundation to make Carmel truly unique and we are proud to be a part of it,” said Doron. “I saw all the positive changes happening at this corner and wanted to make sure the traffic signal matched the high quality of design being established in the district.”
“The City of Carmel is fortunate to have citizens like William who take such great interest in the community and contribute to its development. It is the continuous support of our citizens that will make the Arts & Design District a part of the city that everyone can enjoy,” said Mayor Jim Brainard.
Replacement of this signal will take place on July 27. Traffic Signal Company will provide the necessary products to replace and install LED signal inserts, saving the City considerable dollars in electric costs. In addition, the current yellow cabinet will be replaced with a black painted traffic signal cabinet, and the current pedestrian signal will be replaced with an LED countdown pedestrian signal.
