The Carmel Clay Historical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Carmel/Clay Township History.  Headquartered at the DepotMuseum on the Monon Greenway at First Street SW, the Society offers a variety of programs.

The Museum with a variety of exhibits is open to the public free of charge.  Please check our hours as they change seasonally.  The DepotMuseum is a popular destination for school children, scout troops, families, researchers and anyone interested in the history of our area.

The Archives located just south of the Museum houses documents, photographs, vintage clothing, manuscripts, records, memorabilia, and more which are preserved, studied, and interpreted so that the history of Carmel/Clay Township is maintained.

Other Society programs include bimonthly public programs, publications, Civil War Roundtable, a Genealogy Lab, May Day Tea and the Holiday Home Tour.
