The overwhelming response from Rock the District 2007 has created much anticipation and excitement for this year’s event.  Plans for Rock the District 2008 are underway and include many opportunities for local bands and musicians to perform.

Rock the District is a free community event in the Carmel Arts & Design District centered around more than eight hours of great music on multiple stages.  Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success, drawing more than 7,000 people from both Carmel and cities throughout the state for great music, fantastic food, loads of shopping and fun for all ages.

We are expecting a large crowd similar to last year, so RTD 2008 provides the opportunity for substantial exposure for your band.  Rock the District will be heavily promoted through various media and provides a great place for your fans to come and see you play in a fun and festive environment. As the City of Carmel is a non-profit entity, we can only accommodate groups willing to perform gratis. 

If you are interested in performing at Rock the District 2008:

1. Download this “Entertainment Application Form.”
2. Submit the application form along with a demo or link to your website where the event committee can listen to your music.  You may submit materials through mail, e-mail, or in person.
3. You will be contacted regarding the status of your band once we receive and review your materials.  This will be no later than Friday, June 6; however, it may be earlier depending on when you submit materials.  Communication will be via e-mail and/or telephone.

ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, MAY 23
We would love to showcase as many bands as we can throughout the day, however time and space is limited by each stage.  Performers will be chosen by committee review; performance times will be filled on a first come, first served basis based on the applications and materials received.  Final entertainment line-up is at the discretion of the event committee.  Submitting materials does not guarantee a spot in the Rock the District line-up.

Please note that this is a family-friendly event and any explicit materials will not be permitted for performance.
