Annual Student Holiday Art Contest
Carmel, IN – Carmel Clay elementary and middle school students were invited to participate in a holiday art contest as part of the “Holiday in the Arts District” festivities taking place in the Carmel Arts & Design District during the month of December. A first, second and third place winner was chosen for each grade level (Kindergarten through Eighth Grade). Winners of the holiday art contest were recognized at the tree lighting festival on Saturday, December 1st at 5 p.m. All artwork will be on display during the holiday season in businesses located in the Carmel Arts & Design District and here on the Carmel Arts & Design District website.

Guidelines:
- Art work must be original with a holiday theme
- Three dimensional artwork should be no wider than 12” and no taller than 12”
- Posters should be no larger than 30”x 30”
- Any materials can be used to create the artwork
Submissions will be available for pick up starting January 2nd and must be retrieved prior to January 15th.
The Holiday in the Arts District activities take place Saturdays, December 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 1-5 p.m. Activities include free horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday carolers and entertainment, elves with live reindeer, merchant open houses and gift drawings, and a visit from Santa.
