Deborah Lyons has been painting portraits for 20 years and has developed a nationwide clientele. Completely self-taught, Deborah’s portraits are hand painted in the classical method with oil on canvas or pastel on archival paper. Specializing in traditional portrait painting by commission, she will paint your portrait from a live-sitting or from a photographic reference. Lyons paints people, pets, wildlife, seascapes and landscapes. She also paints classic automobiles, air and water craft and has illustrated six children’s books.
Lyons’ portraits are in the private collections of, to name a few, a U.S. Senator, a Shuttle Astronaut, various Sports and Entertainment personalities and numerous institutions such as Hospitals, Corporations, Libraries, Fraternities and Sororities. Also exhibiting with Deborah Lyons in the Suite 115 space is renowned artist Ramu Ramdev. Ramdev has been trained in the traditional art of miniature painting, working in a fashion that has been popular in royal courts since the 16th century. His art has been displayed in United States, England, and all across India. He received the Master Craftsman Award from state government of Rajasthan, India and has been widely praised by international personalities including the Prince of Wales. In order to preserve the art of traditional miniature painting and promote understanding, Mr. Ramdev established Rangreet in 1996, an organization which sponsors training camps, hosts workshops, presents conferences and honors master artists and new talents.

Jacquelyn McConnell of Van Dourn Designs is known for her passionate tenacity for every project. Clients’ requests have not only kept her style fresh, but expanded her style to include realistic, impressionistic, whimsical, edgy, and contemporary to something totally new - “Boucle.”
“Boucle” is a raised customized decorative pattern that can be applied to walls, ceilings, cornices, art work and furniture. Recent applications include: Large stainless steel refrigerator, complex Tuscan border, Decorator Show House cornice board (room 18), morning room ceiling, and a “Rock the District” guitar. She will be exhibiting her work in Fine Art, Boucle’ faux finishes and mural designs during the Gallery Walk.
Contemporary mosaic artist Nancy Keating will join McConnell in Suite 130 to showcase her mixed media mosaics designed with art and metallic glass, glazed ceramics, hand painted tiles, old china, tempered glass, recycled jewelry, and found objects. Keating’s designs are labor intensive; she adheres each piece one by one, while paying attention to the small details and sanding or grinding each mosaic piece to ensure no sharp edges. Keating then custom colors the grout to match each design.

Herron School of Art alumnus Donald Mee will display his unique collection of functional metal work art. Not afraid to get his hands dirty, Mee poured his love of art and creation into a passion for metalworking at a young age. Described as “functional and abstract art,” Mee’s unique creations range from candle holders and wine racks to sculptures and furniture. Clyde Pennington and Ryan Feeney, metal artists with Indy Art Forge, will also display their works in the Suite 150 space. Pennington and Feeney create a wide range of subjects in the strength of their metals, including wildlife and architectural pieces.
