Art & Soul Gallery
Art & Soul Gallery will be featuring works by international artist Hamilton Aguiar. Aguiar has developed an intriguing technique incorporating silver leaf into his original acrylic canvases, giving his work a unique translucent effect and transforming his landscapes with subtle changes of color and intensity as the light of day changes.

Blue Egg Gallery
Blue Egg Gallery is proud to welcome two new artists, Lidia Stecher, abstract painter, and Pam Couch, a specialist in the use of light on her painted subjects.
Lidia Stecher will be at the Gallery on Oct. 16th from 5-10 p.m. A self-taught artist, Stecher’s abstract paintings place emphasis on the expression of inner thoughts, ideas and emotions. “I use color, forms, shapes, and composition to give life to abstract concepts and feelings. My paintings are intended to represent the movement of my unconscious on canvas. Through my art work, I express a view of the world which is not bound by material reality but rather, by the continuous evolution of everyday human emotions.”

Evan Lurie Gallery
Visit The Evan Lurie Gallery to view the popular exhibit “Memoirs From Suburbia.” Peter Drake, Michael Fitts and Tom Haney join Drew Simpson in a collection of work that embodies both the iconic imagery of American youth and the detailed elucidation of suburban pretense in the four styles that vary in direction but play well together in concept.
The lapse of time and the growth of technology have played their own role in the definition of suburbia. What began defined as an area of relatively low income in fourteenth century Europe, developed internationally as a term coined more for the outer lying areas of metropolitan expansion for the middle to upper class. Soon a culture was born from the American style “burbs” and standards of living became nationally emblematic. The nuclear family and its accessories had become symbols – symbols that have left themselves open to interpretation over time. Drake, Fitts, Haney and Simpson have all offered a unique vision of suburban imagery in this way. Don’t miss the final week of this exhibition for a glimpse of these artist’s exceptional perspectives.
