ArtSplash Gallery

"During April, ArtSplash Gallery will feature the work of new artist Carolyn Martens.  For this  Second Saturday Gallery Walk this month we will also feature a beautiful mosaic egg  designed by artist Nancy Keating ,

and a tasty treat from Boyd's Fudge, an Indiana Artisan enterprise."

Lori still makes each batch of her ultra creamy, impossibly smooth fudge by hand. Her menu of over 30 flavors runs the gamut from traditional chocolate, chocolate walnut, and vanilla praline to the more exotic flavors of blueberry cheesecake, peanut butter and jelly, and bubblegum. She offers both a line of year-round and seasonal favorites, including a limited line of sucrose free fudge, which are listed and updated frequently in her on-line store. Stop by for a sample of this wonderful fudge!

Eye On Art Gallery

Eye On Art Gallery will feature several new works in April from artists that have recently been invited to exhibit at the gallery. Two ceramic sculptures from Cheryl Williams will be on display. Cheryl is an artist with an international reputation, whose professional career has spanned more than 20 years. Her art work is featured in the White House Collection and in the collections of many world leaders. Numerous corporations in the United States, Asia and South Africa have also added her art to their collections.

New glass has been added from Tsuga Studios in Vermont. Nick Kekic is a 3rd generation glass blower. Nick describes his work as designs, decorative with clean, strong lines in form and color with most of the work beautiful and functional.

French Bleu Fine Art Gallery

FRENCH BLEU Fine Art Gallery , located in the heart of the Carmel Arts & Design District, showcases the paintings of owner and artist Susan Mauck. Mauck describes her own artwork as “impressionistic, with a contemporary edge” . Portraiture, figures, and landscapes are displayed in the quaint and intimate space of FRENCH BLEU. Also featured in the gallery are the colorful abstract paintings of artist Nikko Minichiello. Both artists will be exhibiting some new pieces for the April Gallery walk. Also, check out new classes being offered at FRENCH BLEU.

Nature Transformed

Featuring two Indiana artists with strong links to the Herron School of Art & Design, this show will feature the drawings of David Morrison and the sculptural furniture of Donald Mee. The exhibition will run from March 2–April 16, 2011

For the Month of April, Renaissance Fine Art and Design will be hosting "Architectural Surface" and exhibition of the amazing works of Mat Barber Kennedy, from the UK.  Kennedy holds degrees in Architecture from Sheffield University and royal College of Art in London.  He is a Fellow  of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in watercolours, which represents the best of contemporary British Watercolourists.  In 2008, Mat was awarded the Turner Medal in London for his work.

Renaissance Fine Art & Design Gallery and Atelier represents over 35 National, regional and locally emerging artists, as well as hosting classes and workshops taught by Exceptional instructors. The Owner, Kathleen O'Neil Stevens, is an award winning artist and designer that knows perfectly placed evocative artwork can change the entire mood of an area, and in turn change our lives from deep within.  Spaces designed with this in mind are not only visually pleasing, but also have a positive and lasting effect in our daily lives. L’Evento Event Resource Boutique is hosting a Spring Open House at their location in downtown Carmel’s Arts & Design District on Saturday, April 9, 2011. The Open House will take place during the area’s monthly gallery walk, occurring that evening from 5:00pm – 10:00pm.
This April, L’Evento Event Resource Boutique will collaborate with a local salon/spa, David & Mary, to host a pampered spa night for their guests. The Spring Open House will feature mini massages and polish services performed by David & Mary professionals and will be catered with delicious sweets and treats.
L’Evento Event Resource Boutique has made its home in Carmel’s Arts & Design District at 21 S Range Line for a little over a year. The boutique provides complimentary services to anyone planning an event. When visiting the boutique, patrons will be able to ask questions of an Event Concierge™ and view portfolios of outstanding event professionals. Owner Heather Lapham Kuhn brings a wealth of event-industry experience and connections to the boutique, and is ready to assist the community in successfully planning all kinds of events, from weddings to birthday parties.
This event is open to the public. Guests will enjoy spa services performed by David & Mary professionals, refreshments by Olympic Events and Sweetest Candy Buffets, and get a chance to mingle and talk with L’Evento client concierges.
