For the gallery walk on February 12th, ArtSplash Gallery will feature contemporary glass relief and collage works by Artist James J. Connolly, and handmade Valentine cards by calligrapher Erika Woods

Eye On Art Gallery will feature the large pastel portraits of Alan Larkin. Larkin is a Professor of Art at Indiana University South Bend and received his MFA in printmaking from the Pennsylvania State University in 1977. He has been teaching drawing and printmaking for the last 33 years. He has won numerous prizes in regional and national competitions for his artwork including Best of Show award at the 75th Annual Hoosier Salon Exhibit in Indianapolis. His works are in numerous private collections including the corporate collections of Pillsbury, NIPSCO, and Lincoln Life Insurance Companies.

Daisy Craddock:  Leap into White
An exhibition of new oil pastel drawings, 27 East Main St.
January 13 – February 26, 2011

Craddock will be in Carmel for the reception on February 12th - come by and meet her!

Daisy Craddock has been exhibiting her work nationally since the mid-1970s. Recent solo shows include the Fischbach Gallery in New York City, and David Lusk Gallery in Memphis. Her work has been reviewed in Art in America, The New York Times, Art & Antiques, American Artist, Art News, and Arts Magazine. Public collections include the Anderson Museum, the Newark Museum, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, the Milwaukee Museum of Art, the Roswell Museum, the Rubin Museum of Art, and the Weatherspoon Museum.  

Known for her gestural paintings and drawings that explore nature, Craddock’s new body of plein air drawings are the subject of this exhibition.  Many of these works were made while Craddock was renting an old farmhouse in the Berkshires last summer.
The artist lives and works in New York City.

We will be having our artist John Reynolds come and do a painting demonstration.  5:30 - 8:30.  

John Reynolds is a long-time artist and professional art instructor.  He is known for his 'portraits' of Indiana's farm animals and wonderful landscapes.  However, John's passion in painting has always been his fascination with the human figure.  We will be featuring a small collection of John's figurative nudes along with some of his portrait work

They supply the canvas, brushes, paints, easels and even an apron to keep your clothes clean while their LOCAL artist instructs you step-by-step through re-creating the featured painting of the day. At the end of the event, you’ll take home a masterpiece of your very own! Tamra Scott will be set up from 5-9 p.m with complimentary classes on the hour, all supplies included .
